Letting go of the past

The 75th anniversary of Auschwitz’s liberation is marked today in many places. A day that is important to mark because the past still affects the affected families. This summer my family and I visited Auschwitz and the energy of violence, fear and despair was still very present.

I see it again and again in my work on stress and trauma. The past is a part of us, because our parents’ deep-seated anxiety and insecurity affect us. Maybe it was hard for them to show love and joy, maybe it was growing up in a family where abuse and violence was the norm. And what about that embedded fear that comes from growing up in an unstable family, were we never quite knew what we would encounter when we got home. All things, that make us more at risk to developing stress, anxiety etc.

If we choose to let go of the past, this is done by working at the deep level. Time and again, I see clients who, by going far back, get to the deep memories stored in the body. Experiences and memories that affect them today until they release it. The results is huge and is tangible with more energy, better sleep, greater internal balance and less stress.

The surprise of how much the past affects our present is huge, the sense of freedom even greater.

With RIM (Regenerating Image in Memory), we gain awareness of the unconscious memories. Once memories are brought to light, we can relate to them in a new way and let go of the imbalances in the body.

I offer RIM sessions in person and online – book a free introduction call here.

4 years after Utøya

Four years ago today life changes for many people. 69 young people died in a terror attack on Utøya and the survivors and relatives is still having a hard time dealing with their trauma.

Unfortunately Utøya is not the only place terror is happening. Suicide bombing and  shootings is happening all over the world. Some hit the news others don’t. No matter what the survivors and relatives are the one that is suffering in the long run.

Research shows that a traumatic memory is stored in our memory at a cellular level. It also shows that there is treatment that can support you in unlocking this memory and rework it into a emotionally more healthy memory.

Personally I have had success with the RIM method. First to heal my own traumatic experience and over the past years to help many people unlock their traumatic experience and be able to move forward in their life. No matter what you choose, keep working on your self and step by step you will move forward.

If you are interested in learning more about the RIM method feel free to contact me either by email [email protected] or phone +45 60 18 32 36 to set up a free introduction.

Accepting my feelings are giving up?

Actually the opposite is the case. When you accept your feelings you allow them to flow instead of suppressing them. Feelings that flow can be handled.

Most people I know have at least once exploded in rage or started to cry of an apparently very little reason. When looking at the feelings that are bobbling up most often it contains several issues that has been suppressed over time.

When being able to notice your feelings and accept them as they are in any given moment, they can flow freely. You can help them on their way by just breathing though them with some nice deep breaths and sense how they pas though your body. Very much in the same way as the nurse teach you to handle your pain when giving birth to a baby.

In the beginning this technic is easiest with small issues and emotions that are coming up though out a day. As you get used to using the breathing method you can work with bigger emotions that you have suppressed over time.

When you have tried this technic let me know how it worked for you by commenting below.
